Who stole the camera from the camera case?
Jauncee stole the camera from the camera case!
Who, me?
Yes, you!
Couldn’t be! Then who?
...maybe Jeslyn?

I am obsessed with this little guy.
Some of his favorite things include…
The 4-wheeler, which he would ride on and or sit on for hours if we would let him. If he sees one in town, we're in trouble...he wants a ride!
And...
A Market Beef Project requires practice, practice and more practice! Jeslyn really had an awesome steer! He was very laid back and easy to teach. A steer is a rather large animal and can be intimidating at times but Jeslyn sure knew how to take charge. She must have had an awesome mentor!
Every time we needed a break or a cool down this past summer, we headed to Lava Hot Springs for a dip. We actually went quite often and always met up with great friends. The girls both love to swim and I have always been a fish…Clay absolutely loves the water as long as it isn’t too cold or too hot.
Out of all our outings I only remembered the camera once. We even managed to get Dirk there with us to celebrate Jeslyn’s Birthday. It was a lot of fun. He even talked me into going down the big slide...which I loved!
This little boy is always into something! Everyday is a new adventure! He can entertain himself for hours now that the girls are in school. I just love his cute little personality!
The 24th of July celebration started out early in Bacroft at the annual parade. The girls got TONS of candy! It is a typical small town parade but a fun one. The floats always go around twice so if you miss them the first time you can always catch them again. After the parade they always have a rodeo, but we opted to pass out on this one. Clay boy I am sure wouldn’t sit very well in the stands confined to our laps. So we headed for home and relaxed for a few. Later that afternoon we met up with our good friends for an afternoon of fun at Chesterfield Reservoir. It was for sure the best part of the day. I love the water and everything about it. I feel completely at home on the lake, any lake at that.
It was a perfect way to spend a beautiful summer day!
On a personal note – a funny little story about my cute lil booby monster. I spend most the afternoon in the water, Clay thought it to be too cold, he also hated his life vest but was a trooper anyway so he mostly hung out on the boat. On our way home from the lake I was nursing him in the back, or I was going to nurse him and he wanted to nurse but every time he got close to latch on he would scream in disgust! He would not nurse for anything even though he wanted to so bad. I couldn’t figure him out other than perhaps I smelled like lake water. It wasn’t until I had completely showered and cleaned up before he would have anything to do with me under there. I never imagined it could be that bad, but apparently it was bad enough to not want to eat! – Funny little guy!
Getting ready for the fair was a big time occupier this past summer. Jeslyn was ready and willing…up for the challenge. This would be her first Market Beef Project. She picked out her steer – Ceasar last fall and had been working with him off and on. Once school was out for the summer she worked with him almost daily and really had a personal bond with him. It was fun to watch her rinse him and brush him, talking to him the entire time. She never rushed; she was very thorough and made sure she he looked his very best before she was done. I think he really liked her too…she did feed him grain twice a day! Most days he was waiting for her right in the very spot she would rinse him.
I didn’t capture as many photos as I should have, but I did get a few.
