Jeslyn participated in the 2008 Reflections Contest; she entered an entry in the art, literature and photography categories.The theme this year was “WOW…!” Jeslyn did exceptionally well; she took 4th place in literature and 2nd place in photography.Here are her winning entries:
Literature:
A Beach
Once there was a beach. There were people who lived on the beach. They slept in the sun. It was called Alaska. It was beautiful. They loved to watch the sunset and go for walks in the sun. One day the sea was beautiful, everyone on Main Street came to the sea. Suddenly something came out of the sea. A big whale. It was so big! Everyone thought it was amazing. The whale was mean but the people did not care. Then it just swam away and all the people went walking in the sea.
