All Things - DECEMBER!

December is a great time to sit back & reflect on the year. Think about the myriad of blessings in your life, how much you’ve achieved & how far you’ve come. Think of all the people in your life who love you, all the amazing things you’ve seen & great songs you’ve listened to. Then pile it all up in your heart & smile!

We started the month busy and hectic spending the first week in Vegas for the 11th Annual Double Dollar Horse Sale; it was more work than play! My hubby and I still found time to spend some quality time together with no kids! It was fun and a much needed getaway; I think it took me a week to recover from all the lack of sleep and long days. A huge thanks to my parents for keeping the girls the entire time…they love it there for sure!

The girls in the car loaded to the max...on our way home! I wasn't sure we were going to get everything home or not...and what do you leave behind...clothes, christmas presents, a child! Luckily everything fit and we made home safe.

Tuesday, December 15th came around quick and my baby turned 5! WOW, 5! We celebrated as a family, this was the cake she wanted me to make...I don't do cakes very well, but she insisted, so I tried. She was happy with the final result. Easy to please, I love that!

And I did do her hair once that day, you wouldn't know it by the pictures!

Jauncee is such a sweet little spirit and definitely a mamas girl! We are so blessed to have her in our family. Jauncee be bops around the house singing and dancing all day long, she is very entertaining. We love you so much little one!

These 2 pictures are of Jeslyn and the entire 2nd grade singing at the Christmas Program. She did and awesome job, always full of smiles. Her grade is the size of 1 class in Fillmore, I think that is crazy, but we love it!

Jeslyn in on the left in the green vest!

My little Eskimos! Getting ready to go tree hunting!

Hooking up the tubes! Jeslyn was the only brave one, until her face was drenched then she no longer wanted to be pulled, she wanted to ride!

I must say, that my hubby is a little dangerous, I was kinda scared riding with him!

I love the pose, very HOT!
Jeslyn picked out the tree and it was HUMONGOUS and heavy! And to top it off we had to drag it up hill!

We tied the tree to the back of the snowmobile and drug it out.

James, we were glad that he went, he is very quiet, but funny when you get him talking. He made it possible for all of us to go! It was a fun day! Thanks James.

The final result...we did actually get lights put up and a star, 5 days before Christmas, I had a hard time getting motivated to get it all out knowing that we have to move in a couple weeks. The girls didn't mind as long as we had a tree! They also made me promise that next year we will start decorating early! I think I can keep that promise!

Jeslyn and Santa, she claims it was the worst asking Santa experience ever! She asked him for a real puppy and he told her he could only do live gifts if her parents approved. We already have 3 dogs and how fun would a puppy be in the middle of the winter! So she opted for an American Doll-Kit Kittredge!

Jauncee, she asked for an American Doll too, Julie!

My precious sweethearts on Christmas Eve, begging to open at least one gift! Funny thing is, they always get to and it is always pajamas but they haven't quite figured that out yet!

Strike a Pose!

Christmas morning I finally had to wake the girls up at 9! At least they were kind enough to let us all sleep-in.

Ah the Stocking...always the best part!

I think they were more into posing than their presents!

Meandering Thoughts!

I can’t believe it is already December, not sure where November went, I guess it kind of disappeared in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of our new life which I must say I do love! I feel so guilty I haven’t posted in so long it’s as if we live some boring life with nothing to write about nor any pictures to take! HA HA, if that were only true! I totally missed writing a Thanksgiving Tribute and listing everything I am thankful for…I have so much and have truly been blessed…the list would be never ending! My contribution to the feast this year was to show up, bless my mother, she worked so hard and did it all solo…it was DEVINE! This year I am thankful for my amazing lover man, my beautiful girls, and our amazing life together. I am also thankful for the determination to make life as beautiful as possible and to not be so black & white!

Make a radical change in your lifestyle & begin to boldly do things which you may previously never have thought of doing, or been too hesitant to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances & yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, & conservation, all of which may appear to give one peace of mind, but in reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. The very basic core of a man’s living spirit is his passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, & hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new & different sun. If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your inclination for monotonous security & adopt a helter-skelter style of life that will at first appear to you to be crazy. But once you become accustomed to such a life you will see its full meaning & its incredible beauty.” — Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild.

Ok confession:
As a rule follower myself, and a somewhat control freak that sometimes goes a bit too far in her setting of ways, I can only say that on the days that I dare myself to get into something new, try and sometimes I fail but the experience enriches me and makes me feel more confident to take another bold move and it makes you feel on top of the world.

True happiness is found in those moments that you let yourself go. And I am thankful for those moments!

Well, let’s hope I post before month end! We have a lot of fun and exciting adventures ahead, maybe this time I can document them and remember my cameras battery needs to be charged!

Tis the season to begin shopping for the impossible!
