Coming to an end!

Sunday – the girls and I watched several Christmas movies and I did 6 loads of laundry in an effort to be prepared for my work trip to Vegas. We also enjoyed a couple of hours at the park playing. As the evening approached a feeling of somberness overwhelmed me.

Saturday – the girls had a Gillins Family Christmas Party. It started out at the movie theater enjoying a matinee of Madagascar 2. Then they took a hay ride through the park. Next, they saw Santa Claus followed by a dinner at Grandma Connie’s. After dinner they all loaded up and yep – went bowling in Delta! I accompanied them for this. It was fun, a lot less crowded than the night before. After bowling they all met back up at Grandma Connie’s in Fillmore and exchanged gifts and had banana splits.

The view on the way!

Thanksgiving Weekend Continued...

Friday – the girls and I all slept in and enjoyed our morning together laughing and watching movies. Around 1:00 we headed over to Holden to visit and hang out. Later that evening we all went over to Delta and went bowling. We had a great time minus the ***hole working, talk about Mr. Personality, really they ought to think of hiring someone else. I really like to bowl but I am horrible. Jeslyn was very competitive she expected to get a strike every time. I think she had fun though. Jauncee was so dang cute; she would do a 3 minute dance after every roll, her ball was almost literally standing still it was rolling so slow, but almost every time she got a strike. After two games we headed back to Holden for more dessert. I think Paul won the first game and Papa won the second. Not sure of the other standings – except I did not come in last! – Thanks Ging!

THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving! What a wonderful Thanksgiving we had this year. It was my year to spend it with my girls; all three of us were excited for a fun filled weekend of family and good food! We started out the holiday on Thursday in Holden at my parents. My mother made such a delightful dinner – she is the best cook I know. Several relatives joined us in celebrating: Grandma Jill & Papa; Ginger, Paul & Max; John, Sandy, Bryn & Emery; Andrew, Pat & Whitney; Jake; and my girls & I. I have to say my favorite entrĂ©e was the sweet potatoes and for dessert was the pumpkin roll – mmm mmm good! After dinner we all hung out and visited. It was great to spend time with everyone and to get caught up on how everybody is doing. The evening ended with all of us being “stuffed up” as Jeslyn we say.

BROOKS!!

Brooks turns 3 today! We all celebrated his birthday at Grandma and Papa’s on Wednesday what a great time we all had. Brooks was so excited, he was definitely wound up! Both Alivia and him had a hard time staying away from the cake! Spiderman – Brooks’ favorite! He is always pretending to be Peter Parker/Spiderman and shooting out his webs! – Funny little boy! He got a lot of great toys – mostly trains! My girls and I wanted to get him a baby rabbit with the cage and the whole set-up but then I thought I had better call and ask his dad for permission – his response was “Hell No!” Mean dad anyway. No, I understand. I am just glad I called first. We are all so glad to have Brooks in our lives he is a very special little boy – We love you Brooks!

Alivia - Brooks' (soon to be) sister, she is 2!

DISNEY ON ICE!

This post is a little later than I would like, but life has been somewhat hectic. Last Sunday the girls and I had the opportunity to go to Disney on Ice with Colby and Connie. We had such a fun time and the show was AWESOME! We had very good seats we were on the 5th row right in the middle. When we first got there, Jeslyn was mad at me because she wanted a snow cone and cotton candy and I had a hard time thinking that they were worth what they cost - $21.00. So you can tell in the pictures that Jeslyn was kind of pouting. I will say that later on during the show I became weak and gave in to 2 snow cones! Once the show was over both Jeslyn and Jauncee asked me why the princesses looked so different from when they had met them at Disneyland earlier this year. Funny girls, I think they think the princesses/characters are all really real, which is great! The innocence of a child, there is nothing like it! It was a great Sunday afternoon well spent. I really enjoy spending time with my 2 precious ones.

I would have taken more pictures but my battery died close to the end! I would definately recommend going - It was amazing!
