Easter

In an effort to get caught up, I am going to keep this post short and sweet.

It is hard to believe that Easter was almost 2 months ago...time is flying by! We had a lovely Easter weekend full of festivities, including coloring Easter eggs, roasting hot dogs, and of course an Easter egg hunt.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays!

And let's not forget.....

Easter is a time to celebrate the miraculous resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Because of the Savior’s resurrection, each of us will receive immortal, resurrected bodies after we die. The Book of Mormon adds a clear perspective of this truth:
“Now, this restoration shall come to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, both the wicked and the righteous; and even there shall not so much as a hair of their heads be lost; but every thing shall be restored to its perfect frame, as it is now, or in the body, and shall be brought and be arraigned before the bar of Christ the Son, and God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, which is one Eternal God, to be judged according to their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil.” –Alma 11:44
Easter is special because it reminds us of a new beginning to be had after we depart from this life. Though only celebrated annually, we should thank God our Father for the gift of His Son daily. Without Him, there would be no purpose to life.

30 Hour - Family Vacation

After all the hustle and bustle associated with the sale we all needed a little get away. We knew we couldn't go very far or for very long. In contemplating our options, it was determined that only 1 out of 4 of the children had ever been to the zoo so that is what we decided upon. We headed out of town early Friday afternoon, and made our way South a few hours. With 6 people in our family we have only few a options with comfortable accommodations. We opted for the Residence Inn in Sandy. We stayed in a King Suite with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. That night we relaxed a bit, ate dinner at McGrath's Fishhouse (we must have hit it on a bad night, because it wasn't very good), and prior to bed, we all went for a swim. The next morning we all got up, ate breakfast and  headed for Hogle Zoo. It was a beautiful day, one could most likely tell that we were from out of town by our attire...we were all still sporting shoes/boots and long pants...everyone except Jauncee! The zoo was a lot of fun, the kids seemed to have a blast. Dakota was ready for a nap so we decided to mosey on home. First making a stop at Temple Square. It was magnificent and beautiful---the flowers were fabulous! I really would like to go back when we have a little more time to spend.

It was a super short trip, but worth every minute and penny!
I love my family so much!!
