This was Jauncee's first year participating in the County Fair.
We couldn't talk her into showing a steer, instead she decided that she would like to show a lamb!
Dirk and I were both hesitant at first, since we knew nothing about lambs or sheep. Yet alone showing one! As always, Dirk comes to the rescue and saves the day.
He purchased 2 lambs from a friend in Cache Valley and used his knowledge of feed and market animals and came up with a plan that Jauncee put to the test.
The results.........GRAND CHAMPION!
Way to go - RITO!
Not only did she win Grand Champion, she scored big time in the money department. Her lamb "Little Stinker" brought more money than any other lamb in the history of the Caribou County Fair! When it was all said and done, she walked away with $3,010.00. A good start for the college fund!
We are all excited for next year!
