HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMA TURNER

Today is my Grandma Turner's 83rd Birthday. We all are so blessed to have her apart of our lives. She is such a sweet, loving person. We love you so much Grandma, we hope to have you around for many more years to come!

We celebrated her birthday Monday evening in Holden, all family living relatively close came for the special event. The evening was filled with great food and great company. For all of you who couldn't make it...you all were missed. My mother is always such a great host and everyone pitched in brought something. I ended up going to the party starving, which was the wrong thing to do because I ate so much I was sick! It was fun getting to see everyone.

This trampoline is 25+ years...I was getting nervous. The kids all seemed to have fun and got along great together. And, the trampoline survived!

The designated cooks! The burgers were yummy, cooked to perfection!

Looks like they are all having a great time !

Wonder what she was up to? I think she ate like 10 cupcakes, well she ate just the frosting. I love this little one. She always wants to see the picture after I take it. Oh boy, she did not like it, she was kind of mad about it. Good thing she is too young to know that I posted it. Ahh, I love it, I love her!

DOWN ON THE FARM

I have been terrible about updating my blog lately! So many things have happened as well as there being so many changes yet to take place!

This post is long over due and took place back in July while my sissy Ginger was still here. My dad is such a great papa to all of the grandkids…I had to take a minute to brag about him and share some pictures of the kids having a grand ole time! He is so patient with all of them and loves each and everyone. I would dare bet that he is their most favorite papa in the world! I am grateful for the opportunity that my girls have to be able to spend time down on the farm!

My dad took all 3 kids in the tractor all the way from Holden to Hawbush which is approximately 7 miles! I am certain they all probably wanted to help drive. How he did it, only they know! =)

The Lake!

One of the weekends that my sister was here I got a wild hair to spend the afternoon at the lake! The weather was nice prior to leaving my parents house but almost as soon as we got there and all got wet, wow the wind sure started blowing. That is one thing about Yuba...if the wind blows, it really really blows! We enjoyed what little bit of sun we did get to enjoy.

Jeslyn loves the water. She is like a fish!

I got wild hair and decided to challenge myself to see if I could swim all the way out to the buoy. I made it, barely! Good thing I am a pretty good swimmer and know how to float on my back to catch my breath! From the picture it doesn't appear to be that far, oh but it was.

Then it became TeMpEsTuOuS...and fast!
Jeslyn's tube blew away and she couldn't run fast enough to catch it, luckily the fellow beachers helped her out and grabbed it.

We decided since we got cheated out of basking in the sun that we would try it one more time, so the next day we loaded up hours earlier than the day before in hopes that if there was a storm that we would beat it. This time Jauncee joined us.

Jeslyn had fun building a sand castle and Max couldn't wait to destroy it. We had to hold him back just so we could get a picture of her masterpiece!

I was missing someone . . . wishing he could have been there with us! I think he was cussing me because I should have been at church. Sorry dear, next time!

All in all, We had a great time. Thanks Ging for coming with us. It was well worth the 3 hours it took me to finally get all the sand out of my car!

4th of July Fun

This year the 4th of July was exciting and fun for a lot of reasons...my sister Ginger and her family were here visiting from Pennsylvania, and my most favorite person in the whole world, Dirk was here visting from Idaho! For some reason I didn't take many photos, maybe due to the fact that my girls spent most of the holiday with their fathers. We had a good time nonetheless and seemed to eat a ton of food and enjoyed each others company.

Jeslyn and Jauncee both rode the Cheerleader Float

Enjoying the shade in the park, there was a lot of people there but not too many that I knew, or maybe I was a little distracted to care. Who knows? After the park we went and took a nice little snooze, which turned into a really long nap! =)

Later that evening we were entertained at a barbeque in Holden at my parents. My Aunt JoAnn made the best dutch oven dinner ever! There was quite the crowd: My Grandma Turner, Aunt JoAnn, her son Brady. My uncle Tim, Aunt Cindy & their daughter Tenniel. My cousin Scott and his beautiful wife Andrea and Holly, their precious itty bitty baby. My sister, her hubby Paul and my cute little rambunctious nephew Max. Jake, Judd and Brooks. Of course Papa and Gamma Jill, me, Jauncee and Dirk!

My sister is 34 weeks pregnant in this picture, I think she looks great!

Later that evening we headed on over to Fillmore for the fireworks. I was actually rather impressed, Fillmore went all out and put on a spectacular show. I wish I would have taken my camera beacuse we had the best seats ever--we sat on the gravel pit, which besides getting extremely dirty was a great view!

CHEER CAMP

Jeslyn and Jauncee both participated in a cheer camp fundraiser which consisted of 3 days of practice and a performance for the parents. They both had so much fun, I think their favorite part was getting to see Whitney! They love her, she is so good to them.
