June - Happenings

Finally, Summer is here!
And the Show Lambs have arrived!

Gymnastics came to an end!
Clay can't wait to sign up again next fall. He is pretty good and fearless.

June also included a trip to Outer Limits for some game time fun!

Horse rides!

Father and Sons ward camp out

Swimming Lessons!
I signed Jeslyn up for the Junior Lifeguard Program at Lava Hot Springs. It was a 2 week class. So I decided instead of waiting for her...the two littles would enjoy swimming also. SO I signed them up for swimming lessons. They both did super good. Dakota was only old enough for the Mommy and Me class...which we both loved! Clay passed Level 1 and moved on to Level 2. One of the youngest to ever do that in the first week! I was very proud of my boy!

One day after lessons, we decided to stay and enjoy the pool for the full day. The kids had a lot of fun. Good thing Lava has a Kiddie Cove indoor, which was great to get out of the sun for a bit.

And more swimming!

We celebrated Daddy on Father's Day!
We all are so thankful for him and all he does for our family!

The kids enjoyed a Tea Party, given by Jes!

Picnic's in the mountains!

Cows all turned out to pasture!
I couldn't resist documenting these pictures.
The grass available at the beginning of the grazing season was unbelievable!

Sheep shearing.

Clay finally after wearing out 2 sets of training wheels decided it was time to ride his bike without them. He caught on within minutes! The hardest part was teaching him how to get on without us holding the bike and starting him. But he got it - Hooray!

June was a great month full of lots of fun!
The hardest part was having Jauncee gone the entire time. We all sure missed her every single day!

We did have one activity at the beginning of June that was so much fun, it deserves it's very own post...Our week in Holden!

School Pictures and Events

Well, the 2014-2015 school year has officially come to an end!
I am so excited for summer and to have my kids home.

Both the girls played basketball and volleyball, but for some reason I could only find Jauncee's vollyball pic and Jeslyn's basketball pic. I know they have to somewhere in this tiny mess of a house, just not sure where! But they both played and did an awesome job! They are also getting a lot better than when they first started.

At the end of the school year the Junior High and Elementary both put on a Spring Concert.
It is always entertaining!

The elementary concert was Disney themed. Each child had the opportunity to dress up as a Disney character.

On the last day of school the elementary held their annual field day. I came to help with the event, but after about 30 minutes the field day was rained out.
I did manage to get a picture of Jauncee with her bestie Rylee, as well as the hand stand competition.

Here is to an exciting summer that is hopefully really L O N G!  Full of fun and adventure!

Mother's Day

I LOVE being a MOM!
And these are the 4 reasons why!!!

My kids and hubby spoil me everyday and Mother's Day was no exception.
I had already gotten a new camera, but who wouldn't want a Sonicare Toothrush too?!?!

After church we ate dinner at Dirk's parents house with a few siblings and cousins in attendance.

After dinner  Grandma took the kids for a walk up to the apple tree. It was such a beautiful day that most everyone joined in.

I enjoy the homemade gifts lots more than the ones from the store!
My kids did not disappoint this year. I will treasure these forever.

I must say that I LOVE my life and my family!
I am going to try my hardest to cherish every day, love those around me, show appreciation and gratitude for those who matter most.
Life is so precious and things can change in an instant.
